Observe “Autumn Night Skies”

With McCarthy Observatory staff as your instructors, learn about the autumn night skies.  Gain hands-on experience operating a variety of fine astronomy equipment, including a 16” telescope.  Get to know constellations, how to navigate in the heavens, become familiar with and view many of the very famous bright stars.  Discover planets, star clusters, a star nursery, and many other beautiful objects. You will also encounter the best Apps for navigating the heavens (they are spectacular aids to your celestial journey).  Participants will have fun in a casual, small-group setting.  This class is open to children under the age of 18 accompanied by a parent and is HELD at The McCarthy Observatory (located behind New Milford High School) ~ 388 Danbury Road, New Milford, Connecticut.
