His father managed an orchestra during the Big Band Era and during the 60’s managed the popular area nightclub band “The Mark IV” of which Paul’s two brothers were members. When his brother was drafted, Paul inherited his first drum set and took his brothers place in the band. Paul joined Harvest in 1975 just in time to record the group’s first single “You’re the Only Light on My Horizon Now” on a private stock records. When Steve Wanzer was four years old, his parents noticed he could pick out nursery rhymes by ear on a neighbors piano so they decied to buy Steve a piano. He took classical piano lessons starting at the age of six.  Steve also played the trombone since the 4th grade right through college where he played in the jazz ensemble. Steve has played in an orchestra brass quintet, a 17-piece big band, and many rock bands. The most notable bands would be the “Mark IV Band” and the “The Harves Band” of which Steve is still a member.
