Classic American Folk Music

Folk music comes from the heart and touches the soul. It tells the story of life and living, often with humor and sometimes with tragedy and pain. And it does so with the simplicity of a single voice and a lonely banjo, or an assemblage of voices and instruments that fill a hall with joy and tapping feet.

John Bolster fell in love with folk and acoustic music listening to Pete Seeger records about age 10. He didn't pick up the guitar and banjo until high school and then spent “way too much time” playing music in college. He is an almost retired technical instructor who lives in New Milford.

Susan Reid Bozso, of Ridgefield, had  close family ties with Seeger, who shared his music and taught her to play the banjo. Her skill and style reflect Pete's influence as she plays his songs as well as others. She also is an accomplished guitarist and gifted songwriter.
